About Us

Introduction

by Cliff Luber

We wanted to take a few minutes and address the Camdenton Tea Party and the direction that we will be undertaking. We want to first make it clear this is not an attempt to turn the Tea Party into a third party movement.

For far too long true constitutional conservatives have had to vote for the lesser of two evils. Those days are coming to a close. As you have seen during recent primary elections, and more importantly the Delaware primary election this week involving Christine O’Donnell, viable conservative candidates are stepping up to run for office. However, as we have seen time and time again in Florida (Rubio), Alaska (Miller), Kentucky (Paul), Angle (Nevada) and most recently O’Donnell (Delaware) the Republican establishment has not only contested the conservative Republican candidate but actually attacked the constitutional conservative.

Approximately two months ago a core group of approximately 18-22 constitutional conservatives in the Camdenton Tea Party began meeting to discuss the future of the conservative movement at the Lake. Nationwide, Tea parties are voting out RINOs in their respective states and Missouri is no different. The Tea Parties in Missouri have much work to do. Many candidates surviving primary elections are not fiscal conservatives and will never stand firm and reverse the state of the economic mess we are currently enduring. We would like to lay out the direction to you.

We, as Camdenton Tea Party Patriots, will continue to organize, promote, and run the Camdenton Tea Party as we have in the past. The Tea Parties will continue to sponsor the rallies to draw the like-minded constitutional conservative who may feel as if he or she is only one person and is powerless to change the establishment parties.

In November, immediately following the election, the Lake Area Conservative Club (LACC) will officially be in full operation. The Lake Area Conservative Club will be a political club like no other. The LACC will be a transparent club wherein every member will receive a vote on issues of concern, office holders will have term limits, and we will have monthly meetings that will be of a pot luck dinner style. At the LACC, we will not just be inviting guest speakers, but will be primarily dealing specifically with Constitutional issues and what it means to be a conservative–a key ingredient missing in many political clubs.

If you are a conservative, you are cordially invited to the LACC. While everyone is welcome, we have a definitively conservative philosophy we will be seeking to attract. If you were at the “Lest We Forget Camdenton Tea Party” or looked at the news coverage by The Reporter, you noticed quite a change from previous Tea parties. We had a significant number of young people with kids who were at the Tea Party. The members of the LACC know the future of our Nation rests with our younger generation.

The Camdenton Tea Party and the Lake Area Conservative Club will be a positive force in this area to educate and bring sincere conservatives together.

PLEASE COME JOIN THE LACC AND ATTEND THE CAMDENTON TEA PARTIES. REMEMBER, JUST BECAUSE YOU ATTEND A TEA PARTY, DOES NOT MAKE YOU A PATRIOT. WHAT MAKES YOU A PATRIOT IS PUTTING PRINCIPLE OVER PARTY AND POCKETBOOK AS WELL AS VOTING FOR WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE COUNTRY AND OUR CHILDREN’S FUTURE.
